We are Worshippers!

Sunday is a big day at Resurrection Church because we love to Worship! We gather each week to worship at 10:30 am.

If you plan to join us on a Sunday you should expect lots of God’s Word and Prayer.

We know God’s Spirit works through God’s people when they get into the Word and when they humble themselves in prayer.

Singing

We sing together every Sunday because we love to celebrate who God is and what He has done. We sing to God and we sing to each other as we hold the truths of God’s Word up in song.

Praying

We pray together every Sunday because we are dependent on God’s Spirit for all of life. Our Heavenly Father invites us to talk with Him and, as His Children, this is a highlight in our gatherings.

Reading the Bible

We read the Word of God together every Sunday because the Bible is our authority and guide for all of life. We take time to sit under God’s Word together each week because we want our lives together to be under the Word.

Preaching

God’s Word is opened and His truth is proclaimed every Sunday because we want the Spirit to transform and empower us. One of our pastors, usually Pastor David, will be preaching through a book or section of the Bible any time you visit.

Baptism & The Lord’s Supper

We celebrate Baptisms when someone decides to make their faith in the Lord Jesus public and join our church!

We celebrate the Lord’s Supper two times a month in keeping with the Lord’s commands to remember His work until He returns. During the Lord’s Supper we celebrate together our shared hope in Christ as His Body by holding symbols of his broken body and shed blood.

Giving

We give to the work and mission of Resurrection Church each Sunday because we know this world is not our home and Jesus has called us to advance the Gospel to the ends of the earth. Giving is not merely a “practical matter” but vital to our worship and mission as a church.

Resurrection Jr.

We love having our children sing with us and hear the Scripture read. Part way through the gathering, we dismiss children ages 3–6 to be taught the same part of the Bible at a preschool level.
We aim to help them build the habits of worshipping from the Word and lay a foundation of truth in their lives.

We meet to pray and grow at 9:15AM most Sundays.

We are Disciples!

Sunday is an important time to grow as disciples and grow together as a family of believers. We have several important ministries going on Sunday morning.

Prayer Meeting

The Spirit of God works when God’s people pray. Resurrection Church wants to see God move powerfully in our lives, families, community and country–that’s why we devote time to prayer each week together. Adults meet at 9:15 am on Sundays for prayer.

Nursery

Nursery is a crucial ministry in our church because we believe children are never too young to start learning about Jesus and experience the love of His people. Nursery also helps parents take full advantage of our discipleship ministries and worship time.

Resurrection Kids

Resurrection Church offers children’s discipleship classes (Sunday School) as one of the ways we help young disciples take their first steps in the faith. We offer classes for boys and girls ages 3–12.

Resurrection Teens

We know that teen years offer unique opportunities and new challenges in helping a young person embrace their faith. We offer classes for boys and girls ages 13–18 in order to prepare them for following Christ for the rest of life.

Sunday Worship is not the only time we worship Jesus, but it is the highlight of our week together as His People!
